Explore Dubai’s intriguing past on Dubai Walking Tour on foot like locals, as our guide shows you monuments like the Al Farooq Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque, an architectural marvel inspired by Istanbul’s Blue Mosque.
When you arrive in the city’s historical heart, take a stroll through the cobblestone streets of the Al Fahidi Cultural Neighbourhood. Among the art galleries and boutiques, look for the typical barajeels, or wind towers. Learn about an important component of Middle Eastern tradition by visiting the Dubai Coffee Museum and also about brewing procedures and the beans while sipping a cup of your choice. Cross the saltwater tributary of Dubai Creek by water taxi, or Abra, with your guide to explore the historic souks selling spices, gold jewelry, and other traditionally traded commodities. Your trip closes with transportation back to your accommodation.
Take a shared or private tour of Old Dubai. Enjoy an informative walking tour, a traditional boat ride down Dubai Creek, and shopping at local markets.
Your excursion begins with a visit to Al Fahidi's historical area (Bastakiya). There will be various stops along the way where your guide will educate you about the history of Dubai and the UAE, its culture, life in Dubai, and the religion and beliefs of the region.
Then, pay a visit to the most famous art gallery in the UAE, where you'll discover Dubai in the past and present through the eyes of a diverse spectrum of creative painters. While you're there, try some camel milk ice cream.
Then proceed to the coin museum, where you will see old Arabian and Dubai coins. From the roof, you can also enjoy spectacular views of Bastakiya! Come to a halt in front of a mosque to learn more about the Muslim religion.
After seeing the mosque, go shopping in the local marketplaces (souks). Before you go, ask your tour guide for price information and negotiation strategies for local vendors. Then go through the old souk, which is noted for having the finest bargains on apparel, textiles, souvenirs, and Kashmir scarves. Then take a boat ride to the Spice and Gold Souks, where your guide will explain the different brands and you can even try them!
