The Liwa Overnight Desert Safari is designed for those who want to fully appreciate the beauty and tranquility of the desert. Departing from Abu Dhabi at 1:30 PM, this tour takes you deep into the Rub Al Khali, also known as the Empty Quarter. Here, you will embark on a thrilling journey through the desert, experiencing the thrill of dune driving and the serenity of desert camping.
Our experienced guides will lead you through the desert’s vast expanses, providing insights into the area’s unique geography and cultural significance. As the sun sets over the dunes, you will witness the stunning transformation of colors, from golden yellows to fiery reds. The evening is spent under the stars, enjoying a delicious BBQ dinner, traditional shisha, and the warmth of a bonfire. Wake up to a spectacular sunrise, followed by breakfast and a visit to the towering Tal Moreeb Dune, before returning to Abu Dhabi.
Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your Abu Dhabi location between 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM. Travel in a comfortable 4x4 Land Cruiser, driven by our experienced guides, towards the Liwa Desert.
Upon arrival at the Empty Quarter, you will embark on a 3-hour dune driving session. Experience the thrill of navigating the vast, rolling dunes, with opportunities to stop and capture the stunning desert landscape.
Around 5:00 PM, we will set up camp for the night. Witness the mesmerizing colors of the desert as the sun sets, providing perfect photo opportunities. Relax and take in the tranquil beauty of the desert evening.
As night falls, enjoy a sumptuous BBQ dinner under the stars. The meal is accompanied by a bonfire and the option to try shisha, a traditional pastime in the Emirates. Spend the evening relaxing and soaking in the serene desert atmosphere.
Sleep in comfortable tents provided at the campsite. Experience the quiet and peace of the desert night, far from the noise of the city.
Rise early to witness the awe-inspiring sunrise over the dunes. Afterward, enjoy a hearty breakfast at around 8:00 AM.
After breakfast, pack up camp and head towards Tal Moreeb Dune, arriving around 11:30 AM. Explore this magnificent sand dune, known for its staggering height and popularity in hill climb races.
After exploring Tal Moreeb Dune, begin the journey back to Abu Dhabi, arriving around noon. Reflect on your incredible desert adventure as you return to the city.
Bring comfortable casual clothing, closed shoes, warm clothing for the cool desert night, personal toiletries, and any medications you might need.
